Training Program for Forest Department, 26-27th October, 2015


A training program was organized by FERAL, as a part of capacity building under the project at the Cairn Hill Interpretation center, Ooty . The objective was to teach how to operate a GPS for both creating waypoints and tracks and for navigation, how to manipulate and share the data between GPS units and computers and visualize the same on GIS software such as Quantum GIS and Google Earth.
A total of 32 participants were trained consisting of Forest Guards, Watchers and Anti-poaching watchers.
